A sunny Saturday, a barbecue and a bouncy castle in the garden is about as easy as a family party gets. The children are busy all day and the adults get to sit down. Here is what to sort out before you book one for a summer garden party.
Why a castle suits a garden party
It keeps the children in one place, in sight, and busy. They will go on and off it all afternoon, which means fewer “I’m bored” moments and less running through the kitchen. It works for birthdays, family barbecues, christenings and get-togethers with the neighbours.
You also get it for the whole day. We deliver in the morning and collect in the evening, so there is no rush to fit everything into two hours.

Pick the right castle for your garden
Measure first. You need the castle’s size plus clear space around it. Our guide to what size bouncy castle fits your garden has the real measurements for each one.
- Small garden: the Funky Fun Time easy fit castle is 10ft x 8ft, from £90.
- Average garden: the Mega Disco is 15ft x 12ft and has music and lights, from £135.
- Big garden, adults joining in: The BIG Bounce is 21.5ft x 15.5ft and adults can bounce too, from £125.
Delivery depends on your postcode and is shown before you pay.
Get the garden ready
- Flat grass is best. Inflatables have to be pegged down, so they cannot go on astro turf.
- Power: a normal plug socket within 25 metres of the spot. We cannot use extension leads or adaptors.
- Look up: no overhanging branches, washing lines or cables above the castle.
- Clear the lawn the day before: toys, furniture, plant pots, and anything the dog has left.
- Access: we carry the castle in rolled up, so a side gate is usually fine. Tell us about steps or tight gaps when you book.
- Parking: we need room for a large van nearby.
Hot days
Summer brings its own problems. Put the castle where it gets some shade in the afternoon if you can. Keep drinks and sun cream next to it, and call regular breaks so children cool down. Take shoes, glasses and anything sharp out of pockets before they go on, and no food or drink on the castle.
And the rain
It is still England. Forecasts are much more reliable about three days out, so check then. Most of our castles can still be used in light rain. If heavy rain is forecast we will get in touch to talk about rearranging.
On the day
We text your delivery and collection times a few days before. An adult needs to be there when we arrive to sign for the castle and get a quick safety briefing. The balance is paid in cash on arrival, or by bank transfer cleared 48 hours before. Collections run from 6pm, with the latest at 8pm.
Keep an adult watching the castle whenever it is in use, and keep big and small children on separately.
Book early
Summer Saturdays go first. If your date is fixed, book it now. Online booking needs at least 3 days’ notice and a £20 deposit holds the date. We deliver across Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, Bristol and Somerset.
